Nota d'usoL'aggettivo loose significa prevalentemente “sciolto, libero, non confinato o trattenuto”: a loose belt, una cintura sciolta; loose floorboards, assi sconnesse; a loose tooth, un dente che balla; loose clothes, vestiti larghi; loose soil, terreno smosso. Allo stesso modo, il verbo to loose vuol dire “sciogliere, liberare”: to loose the tiger from its cage, liberare la tigre dalla sua gabbia.
